For your information, under the Aviation (Operation of Aircraft and Flight Rules) Regulations, 5742-1981, only passengers who are qualified to provide assistance in cases of emergency may sit near the emergency exits. Therefore, a passenger who, due to their condition, may delay other passengers during an evacuation or who might hinder the work of crew members, will not sit near an exit seat, including any of the following:

A passenger suffering from a conspicuous physical or mental disability, which will make it difficult for them to move quickly if required.

A passenger with a significant hearing or visual impairment, which prevents them from understanding instructions given in writing or verbally without difficulty.

A passenger who, due to their age or illness, is frail in a way that will make it difficult for them to move quickly.

A passenger who, due to their size, would find it difficult to move quickly or reach and pass through the nearest emergency exit.

A passenger under 70 years of age.

A child under the age of 12, whether accompanied or alone.

    Pregnant women.

A passenger who was deported, denied entry or detained.

In light of the above, the aforementioned types of passengers may not reserve and/or sit in seats next to the emergency exit. If a passenger books a seat next to an emergency exit notwithstanding the above, the seat reservation will be canceled and they will be assigned a new seat, and they will not be entitled to any compensation for this change or a refund of the amount paid for the aforementioned seat.

Purchase of premium seats - international flights

A premium seat is a reserved seat in a specific part of the plane and/or a seat with greater legroom (rows 1 and 2 – provided the flight includes premium seats).
A passenger may pre-purchase preferred seating services on international Israir flights (Code 6H) subject to availability at the time of booking, and, at any stage after the reservation, up to 10 hours before the flight, at $120 per passenger per one-way flight at airports in Israel and EUR 117 per one-way flight at airports abroad, and in view of the fact that prices may change depending on the type of seat in question, its location on the plane and the time of the booking, and all at Israir's sole discretion.

The cost of this service is 59 NIS per passenger per one-way flight. Booking is reserved via the Website’s “Personal Zone” up to 24 hours before the flight or upon booking on the Website.

Israir reserves the right to cancel a premium seat reservation at any time and reassign such seats, including after the passenger has boarded the plane. Israir may cancel the reservation of a single premium seat and reassign it at any time, even if this premium seat is part of the reservation of multiple premium seats. Premium seat cancellation and seat reassignment may be required on operational, safety, security or other reasonable grounds.

It is hereby clarified that the cancellation of premium seat assignments at the initiative of Israir (only) will entitle the passenger to another seat at the sole discretion of Israir, and to a refund of the amount paid by the passenger for the preferred seat (unless the cancellation was due to any failure to comply with the requirements of the above regulations at the time of seating). The passenger will not be entitled to any other remedy other than the above.

Any changes made after adding the aforementioned service to the flight ticket will be subject to the cancellation conditions in the Consumer Protection Law, 1981 (hereinafter - the "Consumer Protection Law"), but in the event that the order does not fall under the definitions and conditions set forth in the Consumer Protection Law, a passenger will be charged who will request to cancel the above service with a cancellation fee according to the following breakdown:

    1. Up to 4 business days before the outbound flight - cancellation fee of 75% of service costs.

    2. Fewer than 4 business days and up to 24 hours before service provision - cancellation fee of 90% of service costs.

    3. Fewer than 24 24 hours before service provision - cancellation fee of 100% of service costs.

On Airbus 320A flights that include premium seats, passengers may book seats in Rows 1 and 2. These seats are usually premium seats. Please note: preferred seats are not part of a different class of seats. The service provided to passengers in those seats is the standard service provided to all passengers.

Israir reserves the right to change the type of aircraft, and if the substitute aircraft does not have premium seats, the booked seats will not be available. Therefore, the reservation of a special/premium seat is not recommended for those who require such a seat for medical or other reasons.

Seat reservations are subject to the consent of the person who makes the reservation – in cases where it becomes impossible for any reason to allow them to sit in a reserved seat – to their being entitled to a refund as stated below and in accordance with the following procedures.
Refunds require notification via email (sent to the Company’s Customer Service) and a review by relevant parties.

Under Section 14c(c) and section 14c(d)(2) of the Consumer Protection Law, in Remote Transactions, the client (who is not a business client) may cancel the transaction within 14 days of entering into the transaction or of receiving a document that contains the details of the transaction, whichever is later; With respect to senior citizens / new immigrants / people with disabilities that fulfill all the conditions listed in Section 14c1 of the Consumer Protection Law – within 4 months of the aforementioned date, provided that the date of cancellation does not fall within 7 days – which are not days of rest – prior to the date on which such service is to be provided (in this context, “non-rest days”: business days on weekdays, and excluding Saturdays or holidays).

If the transaction is effected by means of a credit card, the passenger will also be charged the credit card clearing fee charged by Israir. However, during the cancellation periods listed above (14 days or 4 months, as the case may be, which do not fall within 7 non-rest days before service provision), and to the extent that the cancellation resulted from a material discrepancy between the service and material details thereof that were provided in writing or as a result of a breach of a material obligation by Israir, the Reduced Cancellation Fee will not be charged. The right of cancellation in such a standard sale transaction will not apply to services that are fully rendered outside of Israel, including connection flights that follow flights that departed from Israel and that were provided by another airline. Moreover, the right of cancellation will not apply to a transaction paid by means of vouchers, gift cards or rechargeable magnetic cards.
