For your information, that according to the Flight Regulations (Operation of Aircraft and Flight Rules), 5742-1981, only passengers who are able to assist in case of emergency may be assigned emergency exit seats. Therefore, passengers who may impede the evacuation of other passengers or prevent air crew members from performing their duties, will not be assigned emergency exit seats, including any of the following passengers:
- Passengers suffering from a clear physical or mental disability, which may make it difficult for them to move quickly, should they be required to do so.
- Passengers suffering from a severe vision or hearing impairment, which may prevent them from easily understanding written or verbal instructions.
- Passengers who are frail, due their age or illness, in a manner that may make it difficult for them to move quickly.
- Passengers who may have difficulties moving quickly or reaching the nearest emergency exit and pass though it due to body size.
- Passengers over 70 years of age
- Children under 16 years of age, whether they are accompanied or not.
- Pregnant women.
- Deported or inadmissible passengers or detainees in custody.
In light of the above, passengers who meet the above criteria may not booked and/or seated at seats located near the emergency exits. Passengers who choose to book a seat next to an emergency exit notwithstanding the above, will have their reservation cancelled and be assigned a new seat, without any compensation due to such change and will not be refunded any amount paid for their seat selection.
Purchasing premium seats - international flights
Premium seats are reserved seats located at a specific area in board and/or seats with extra legroom due to their location in rows 1 and 2 (if the flight is operated by an aircraft on which premium seats are installed).
Passenger may purchase premium seating in advance on Israir flights operated under the 6H code, subject to availability at the time of booking, and at any time after making the reservation and up to 10 hours prior to the flight, at a cost of $120 per passenger at airports in Israel and 117 Euros per flight leg at airports abroad; please note that prices may change subject to seat type, its location on board and the time of reservation, at Israir’s sole discretion
Purchasing premium seats - domestic flights
The cost of the service on domestic flights is NIS 59 per passenger per flight leg, and reservations must be made in the personal area on the website up to 24 hours prior to the flight or when making the reservation on the website.
Israir reserves the right to cancel reservations of premium seats at any time and assign a different seat, including after the passenger has boarded the aircraft. Israir may cancel a reservation of a single premium seat and re-assign it at any time, even if such premium seat is a part of a reservation of several premium seats. Cancellations of premium seating and re-assignments of new seats may be required due to operational, security, safety or other reasonable reasons.
It is hereby clarified, that the cancellation of premium seating at Israir’s discretion (only), shall entitle the passenger to be moved to a different seat, at Israir sole discretion, and receive a refund of the amount paid by such passenger for the preferred seat (unless the seat selection was cancelled due to the passenger’s failure to meet the afore-mentioned criteria at the time of seating). Passengers shall not be entitled to any other remedy.
Any change made after adding the above service to the flight ticket will be subject to the terms of cancellation of the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 (hereinafter - the “Consumer Protection Law”); however, if the reservation does not fall under the terms and conditions stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law, passengers who wish to cancel the above service will be charged a cancellation fee, as follows:
1. Up to 4 business days prior to the onward flight - a cancellation fee of 75% of the cost of the service.
2. Between 4 business days and 24 hours before the date of service - a cancellation fee of 90% of the cost of the service.
3. Less than 24 hours before the date of service - a cancellation fee of 100% of the cost of the service.
Seats in rows 1 and 2 may be reserved on flights operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a premium seating configuration. These seats are usually premium seats. It is stressed that this is not a different service class - as the service provided to passengers occupying these seats is identical to the service provided to all other passengers.
Israir reserves the right to change the aircraft type, and insofar as the substitute aircraft does not have premium seats, seating may not be performed as booked. Therefore, reserving a premium seat is not recommended for customers who require such a seat due to their physical condition or any other necessity.
By reserving the seat, the passenger agrees, that if they are prevented from using the reserved seat, from any reason whatsoever, they will be entitled to the refund stated above, according to the procedures detailed below.
The refund will be given after receiving a request via e-mail by customer service and an examination by the relevant parties.

The restraint may not cause inconvenience to other passengers, must be anchored to the seat next to the window, may not block the aisles or present an obstacle in case of emergency evacuation.
Cancellation of a distance sale transaction according to the Consumer Protection Law:
“Distance selling transaction” - an engagement in a property sale or service provision transaction, where such engagement is made as a result of remote marketing, without common physical presence of the parties.
“Distance Marketing” - an approach by a dealer to a consumer via post, phone, radio, television, any means of electronic communication, facsimile, publishing of catalogues or advertisements, etc., with the aim of contracting a transaction without the physical common presence of the parties, but rather using one of the afore-mentioned means.
According to paragraph 14c(c) and 14c(d)(2) of the Consumer Protection Law, in distance selling transactions, the person placing the order (who is not a business customer) may cancel the transaction within 14 days from the date of engagement or the date of receipt of a document containing details regarding such transaction, the latest of the two, and in the case of senior citizens/new immigrants/persons with disabilities who meet all the criteria set forth on paragraph 14(c)(1) of the Consumer Protection Law, within 4 months of the said date, provided that the date of cancellation is not within 7 days, which are not rest days, prior to the date on which such service is supposed to be provided (for the purpose of this provision, the meaning of “days which are not rest days” is business days which are weekdays, excluding Saturdays and public holidays).
In case of cancellation according to the above provisions, the passenger will be refunded, within 14 days of the acceptance of the cancellation notice by Israir, the part of the transaction price paid by such passenger, except for a cancellation fee in an amount which will not exceed 5% of the transaction price per passenger, or NIS 100 per passenger, the lowest of the two (hereinafter: "Reduced Cancellation Fee”), and Israir shall cancel all other charges incurred by the passenger (insofar as such charges exist). If the transaction was made by credit card, the passenger shall be charged the clearing fee incurred by Israir. The above notwithstanding, during the cancellation periods stated above (14 days or 4 months, as applicable, which do not occur within 7 days which are not rest days prior to the date of the provision of such service), and as long as such cancellation is the result of material discrepancy between the service and the material details provided with regard thereto in writing, or as a result of a violation of a material obligation by Israir, such decreased cancellation fee will not be charged. The right of cancellation in a normal selling transaction shall not apply to services performed entirely outside Israel, including connecting flights operated by other airlines. In addition, the right of cancellation shall not apply to a transaction paid for partly used coupons, gift vouchers or prepaid magnetic cards.
