Loss of/damage to baggage
* Passengers must report any loss of or damage to baggage or items separated by airport security or left in the cabin, immediately after arrival to the lost and found department of the respective airline before leaving the airport, and fill in an appropriate form.
* Passengers calling from abroad to report lost baggage should contact the lost and found department of the respective airline for any inquiries and receiving ongoing updates.

Late/no-show passengers
* Passengers showing up late, or not showing up, for their flight must purchase a new ticket and will not be entitled to any refund.

Food and beverages onboard
* Israir is not responsible for the provision of kosher and/or any other types of meals, which is under the sole responsibility of the operating airline and subject to its capabilities only.
* On certain flights, a surcharge for food and beverages will be collected directly from the passenger by the respective airline, in accordance with its terms, and passengers should verify this in advance with their travel agent.

Flight confirmation
Passengers must inform themselves, 72 hours prior to the flight, whether there has been any change in the departure time and/or flight number and/or airline, compared to the details indicated on their flight ticket.
* Passengers must confirm their return flight 72 hours in advance, if this is stated on the flight ticket.

Visas and passports
It is the responsibility of the passengers (including minors), to hold a passport valid for a period of at least 6 months from the date of departure from Israel, that covers the duration of their stay abroad, and an appropriate entry visa for each country which they intend to visit. Passengers must also inform their travel agent if they have a foreign passport or a laissez-passer.
* Israeli citizens must depart and enter Israel with their Israeli passport only, regardless of whether they have any other citizenship.
* Entering foreign countries will be according to the identity of the entering person and the laws of the respective country, which may change from time to time.
* Passengers are solely responsible for taking care of their passport, visas, etc.
* All expenses and/or damages caused due to invalid passports and/or visas, which prevent the passenger’s entry to any country will be borne solely by the passenger.

Cancellation/change of reservation fee
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Cancellation/change of reservation fee for international flights operated by El Al
Full cancellation fee from the moment of purchase. No changes are permitted before/after departure.

Seat selection
* Seat assignment on board is the sole responsibility of the operating airline, and Israir cannot guarantee specific seats and/or that passenger of the same family will be seated together, even if such a request was made by the passengers in advance.

Transporting bicycles
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Transporting live animals
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Carriage of pregnant women
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Showing up for check-in
* Flights from Tel-Aviv depart from Ben-Gurion Airport (Terminal 1 or 3). * Passengers should inquire with their travel agent in advance what terminal their flight departs from, either at Ben Gurion Airport or abroad.
Passengers should report at the check-in counters after completing the security check, no later than three hours before the departure time indicated on the flight ticket.
The check-in counters will be closed one hour before the departure time indicated on the flight ticket.
The baggage inspection and screening process is not performed in the passenger’s presence, but only after baggage has been checked-in. Please note that passengers who wish to check in baggage will not be accepted for the flight less than one hour before departure.
* Flights will not be delayed due to passengers who show up late at the check-in counter, and late passengers will not be accepted for the flight, in order to avoid delay on departure, and must bear all the expenses involved. In addition, Israir reserves the right not to refund late passengers the cost of the flight ticket, or to refund them partially only, and the responsibility for any damages incurred by Israir will lie solely with the late passenger.

Showing up at the boarding gate
Passengers must report at the boarding gate at the time indicated on the boarding card.
* Flights will not be delayed due to passengers who show up late at the boarding gate, and the baggage of such late passengers will be offloaded from the aircraft, in order to avoid delay on departure, and they will bear all the expenses involved. In addition, Israir reserves the right not to refund late passengers the cost of the flight ticket, or to refund them partially only, and the responsibility for any damages incurred by Israir will lie solely with the late passenger.

Transporting dangerous goods
For safety reasons, the following items may not be carried in passenger baggage:
1. Compressed gases (cryogenic, flammable, non-flammable, and toxic), such as butane and oxygen, liquid nitrogen, oxygen tank for diving, unless they have been emptied, and compressed gas canisters.
2. Corrosive substances, such as acids, bases, wet batteries, and items containing mercury.
3. Explosives and ammunition, including empty bullets, pistols, fireworks, caps, or pistol bullets.
4. Flammable liquid and solid substances, such as lighters that have to be tilted for ignition, lighter fuel, matches (passengers may carry safety matches on their person), paints and thinners.
5. Oxidizing substances, such as bleaching powders and hydrogen peroxide.
6. Toxic and infectious substances, such as pesticides, herbicides and substances containing live viruses.
7. Radioactive substances.
8. Briefcases containing alarm mechanisms, electric shockers, and tear gas spray.
9. Other items, such as magnetizing substances or substance causing irritation.
10. Carriage of medications and care products in limited quantities required by passengers during their journey, such as hair spray and perfume, is permitted. Many of the above items can be sent as air cargo, provided there are packed according to regulations.

Oxygen used as first aid
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Unaccompanied minors
* Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Children and infants
* Children up to 24 months of age are defined as infants.
The minimum age for flying infants is 8 days.
* Infants are not entitled to a seat.
* Infants are not entitled to a meal.
* Infants are not entitled to any baggage allowance.
* Passengers should verify the terms for a carrycot service in advance with their travel agent.
* Transport of Israeli and foreign minors (under 18 years of age), is done according to the procedure of the Population and Immigration Authority’s for passage of unaccompanied minors through border crossings, which must be followed by minors and/or any person acting on their behalf. Checked baggage
* Checked baggage includes one medium-size suitcase per passenger.
* However, the terms and conditions for carrying baggage on flights (size, weight, price) are determined by the airline and may change from time to time, while some airlines also require additional payment for checked baggage. Passengers must verify such terms and conditions in advance with their travel agent.
* In addition, the airline may charge the passenger directly for overweight, baggage of irregular size or additional baggage, in accordance with its terms and conditions.

Hand baggage
* The size and weight of hand baggage have crucial influence on the comfort and safety on board. Therefore, a maximum size and weight have been determined for each piece of hand baggage allowed into the cabin. The size and weight of the hand baggage which passengers intend to take on board will be checked at the check-in counter. If the hand baggage exceeds the size or weight limitations for carriage in the cabin, as set forth above, the hand baggage will be tagged as checked baggage and loaded in the cargo hold.
* Hand baggage includes one medium-size piece per passenger. Passengers should verify the terms in advance with their travel agent.

Hand baggage - safety regulations
Security checks of passengers’ hand baggage have become stricter, according to the directives of global security services. For your convenience, please fins below the detailed directives received from foreign authorities responsible for enforcing this issue upon entering their respective country.
Bags must not contain and liquids and/or creams, such as:
1. beverages of any type;
2. shampoo;
3. cremes of any type;
4. tooth paste;
5. aerosols of any type;
6. liquid cosmetic products (such as perfume);
These products can be purchased at the duty-free shops and left behind for pick-up upon return.
Passengers not returning to Israel are requested to refrain from purchasing such items at the duty-free shops.
All products can be placed in the checked baggage.

* Approved liquid/cosmetic products:
1. Baby food for accompanied infants;
2. Medications prescribed for the passenger;
3. Non-prescription medications necessary for the flight;
4. Liquid medication for diabetes patients;
5. Rigid hygiene products, such as rigid deodorant, lipstick, female hygiene products.

* In addition, it is possible and recommended to carry the following items in the hand baggage:
1. a wallet containing money, credit cards, identity cards and passports;
2. flight documents;
3. prescription medications and medical equipment;
4. glasses and sunglasses, without their protective case;
5. containers for contact lenses, without the solution bottle; 6. infant items: baby food, bottled milk, nappies, baby cream;
7. hygienic products: tissue, handkerchiefs, female hygiene products;
8. Keys (except electronic keys). * Wheelchairs and walking aids will be screened.
* Please note, that additional checks may be conducted at the boarding gate, even after the completion of the above checks.
* Items that are not allowed on board may not be purchased as duty-free items on board by passengers with a connecting flight.
* There are no further restrictions on items contained in checked baggage.

Musical instruments

Lithium batteries in passenger baggage

Baby buggies (strollers)

Obtaining travel documents
Passengers must check the trip documents immediately upon receiving them from their travel agent, and make sure that they have all the relevant documents (flight tickets, etc.), and that the information registered in these documents matches the reservation.

Pre-flight service
* There is no pre-flight service available.

Changes in flight times
* Passengers who wish to receive information regarding flight confirmation status, can contact us via e-mail at site@israir.co.il and receive the information at our disposal. The information regarding flight confirmation is under the responsibility of the wholesaler and/or the respective airline. Israir and/or the airlines and/or the wholesaler reserve the right to change published flight times or cancel flights.
* Flights are operated as charter and/or low-cost or scheduled flights, which may naturally involve cancellations, delays, changes of routing and/or destination and/or flight number and/or the airline (change from an Israeli to a foreign airline and vice-versa), even at the last moment, as permitted by the applicable law.
* It is the responsibility of passengers to provide their travel agent with a foreign phone number or any other means, such as e-mail, for receiving notifications of flight changes.
* Flights are operated according to the terms and conditions of the air transport contract, including the Air Transport Law.
* In case of a delay at the airport, passengers should contact the airline representatives at the check-in counter for assistance.

Service for disabled passengers
In order to assist us in providing you with the best service which you require at the airport and on board and make your journey safe, comfortable and enjoyable, we kindly request that you provide us, through your travel agent, with all the necessary information in advance before finalizing your reservation, so we can forward it to the operating airline.
