General information regarding Israir’s international flights
Passengers who wish to receive information regarding flight confirmation status, can contact us via e-mail at site@israir.co.il and receive the information at our disposal. The provision of current information regarding flight confirmation is the responsibility of the wholesaler and/or the operating airline. Israir and/or the airlines and/or the wholesaler reserve the right to cancel the booked flight or change its timing, including flights approved by the Civil Aviation Authority. Flights are operated by various airlines (local and/or foreign) as charter and/or low-cost flights, which may naturally involve cancellations, delays, changes of routing and/or destination and/or flight number and/or the airline (change from a local to a foreign airline and vice-versa), even at the last moment, as permitted by the applicable law.
Apart from its own fleet, Israir operates aircraft leased from foreign carriers, which are operated by foreign crews, occasionally with an addition of an Israir flight attendant. Flights operated by leased aircraft are not subject to Israeli security regulations.
Flights delayed so that they depart after the onset of Sabbath due to operational and other constraints- It is hereby clarified, that in case the flight time (departure and/or arrival) is postponed after the onset of Sabbath due to operational or other constraints, passengers will not be entitled to any compensation from Israir, and Israir will not be responsible to any damage incurred by the passenger as a result.
It is the responsibility of passengers to provide Israir with a phone number or any other means by which they can be contacted abroad, such as e-mail, for receiving notifications of changes from Israir. Flights are operated by air carriers (airlines) according to their terms and under their responsibility, including responsibility for delays, advancements, cancellations, and loss/delay of or damage to baggage, according to the applicable law, including restrictions on such responsibility. Israir shall not be responsible for any loss of or damage to baggage and its content, during the flight or the various procedures at the airport. Passengers are advised to take note of the terms of carriage detailed in these terms and conditions, as well as the terms and conditions which appear on the back of their flight ticket and/or the website of the respective airline, which can be requested and obtained from the offices of the respective airline. Passengers must inquire with their trave agent, 24 hours prior to the flight, whether there has been any change in the departure time and/or flight number and/or airline, compared to the details indicated on their flight ticket. International flights from Tel Aviv depart from Ben Gurion Airport (Terminal 1 or 3), and passengers must verify in advance with the travel agency through which they made the reservation, which terminal the flight is departing from, either at Ben-Gurion Airport or abroad. Passengers must report at the check in counters, both at Ben Gurion Airport and at Israir’s destinations abroad, after completing the check-in procedures and no later than three hours before the departure indicated on the flight ticket. The check-in counters will be closed one hour before the departure time indicated on the flight ticket. It is the responsibility of the passenger to report at the departure gate at least 40 minutes before departure; otherwise, Israir may refuse to allow them to board the flight and their baggage may be offloaded from the aircraft, in order to avoid delay on departure. Flights will not be delayed due to passengers who are late for check-in or the boarding gate; delayed passengers will be denied boarding and Israir will not be responsible for any damage incurred by the passenger as a result of their failure to report on time for the flight, and all the resulting costs will be borne solely by the passenger. In addition, Israir reserves the right not to refund passengers for the cost of the flight ticket, and the responsibility for any damages incurred by Israir will lie solely with the late passengers. Seat assignment on board is the sole responsibility of the operating airline, and Israir cannot guarantee specific seats and/or that families will be seated together, even if such a request was made by the passengers in advance. Preferred seating can be purchased in advance on Israir flights operated under the 6H code. In case of a delay, passengers should contact the airline representatives at the check-in counter for assistance. As a general rule, service on board does not include food and beverages, but on some Israir flights operated under the 6H code, it is possible to purchase a sandwich or a salad and a beverage, subject to availability, 48 hours before the flight and/or directly on board. On flights operated by other airlines, Israir is not responsible for the provision of kosher and/or any other types of meals, which is under the sole responsibility of the operating airline and according to its capabilities, even if Israir was requested to provide such a meal in advance. On some flights operated by other airlines, the operating airline may charge an additional fee for meals, directly from the passengers, and according to its own terms. It is the responsibility of the passenger to contact Israir in this regard and verify the conditions for the provision of meals on their flights. Israir may move passengers from one airline to another and/or change the time of the flight. Flights are not always direct and often involve stopovers and change of aircraft. In some cases, passenger may be flown on a different flight than the rest of the passengers included in their reservation, due to overbooking by the airline and/or the flight operator (which is beyond Israir’s control). Some of the return flights depart late at night in order to allow extended stay abroad. In such cases as well, check-out at the hotel will be until 10:00. The stay may be extended until a later time, subject to availability, for an extra fee paid directly to the hotel.
Obtaining travel documents
Passengers must check the trip documents immediately upon receiving them from Israir or their travel agent, and make sure that they have all the relevant documents (flight tickets, hotel vouchers, car rental and cruise vouchers, etc.), as well as make sure that the details registered in these document match the details of the passenger and the ordered services. It is the responsibility of the passenger to contact Israir or their travel agent if they detect any discrepancy between their details or the details of the reservation and the documents received; otherwise, if the passenger does not contact Israir at a reasonable time prior to their journey regarding such detected discrepancy, the potential results will be their sole responsibility and they will bear all expenses and/or damages caused as a result of such discrepancy.
