Terms and conditions of other travel services
Spa packages
The services included in the package are provided by the respective service provider (the spa resort or the hotel) with whom the package was booked, according to the details in the reservation. The service provider is solely responsible for the actual provision of the services, their quality, etc. All treatment sessions must be booked at least 20 days before arriving at the spa resort. Israir will not be responsible if the passenger did not make the required reservations and was denied medical treatments at the spa resort. Guests must be aware that may not be able to use all or part of the purchased services due to their medical restrictions. Guests must be examined in advance and make sure that their medical condition allows them to receive treatments. Israir shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any case where the guest was unable to use all or some of the spa services as a result of a failure to meet such or other pre-condition for the provision of the services. We recommend that guests obtain medical certificates, images, and a letter from their physician (in English). In addition, in most spa resorts, guests will be examined by a qualified physician, who will create for them a customized plan, according their state of health and/or wishes. The examination will take place on the day following the guest’s arrival at the spa resort. Guests are advised that medical examinations are not conducted on Sundays and local holidays. It should be stressed, that if, according to the professional opinion of the physician at the spa resort, the guest may not receive a certain treatment, or any treatment, and as result the guest decides to cancel their stay at the spa resort, they will bear all the expenses involved in such cancellation and their return to Israel. Treatments are provided at the hotel’s spa center or in its vicinity. No treatments are provided on the day of arrival, day of departure, Saturdays, Sundays, and local holidays. Unused treatments, for any reason whatsoever, will not be refunded, unless such non-use was the result of any cat or default on Israir's part.
Day count of holiday packages/spa/Fly & Drive and organized tours
the “Package”) includes the day of departure and day of return, according to the timetable and flight schedules of the respective airline. The count begin on the of the passenger’s departure from Israel and ends on the day of their return, even if the departure time is in the afternoon or the evening, and the time of return is in the early morning. In case of an addition of days to the package, which requires an extra night at the hotel, due to changes in flight times or other unexpected changes in the package, passengers will be charged an extra fee according to the actual cost incurred by Israir. In certain cases, the number of days may be reduced due to changes in flight times or other unexpected changes in the packages for reasons which are beyond Israir's control, and passengers will not be entitled to any refund as a result thereof.
Representative of the local service provider
Israeli representatives employed by local service providers abroad are present in certain holiday resorts. Israir is not responsible for such representatives, their activities and/or actions and/or promises.
Transfers
The transfer of passengers from the airport to the hotel and back is performed by buses or minivans or collect taxi's (hereinafter: the “Transfer”), which means that journey time may be extended due to pick-up/drop-off of other passenger at other hotels and/or traffic congestions and/or delays at border crossings, which are beyond Israir's control. In some hotels, drop-off or pick-up cannot take place at the hotel entrance, but at another location in the vicinity of the hotel. Transfers will not be delayed due to late passengers, and passengers who fail to arrive at the pick-up location at the specified time will bear the resulting consequences and expenses. Passengers must know the details of their flight and the pick-up time set for them. In any case, Israir cannot assume responsibility for the integrity and/or maintenance of the vehicles used and the quality of service in this respect. In addition, Israir does not guarantee that the transfer vehicle will be air-conditioned, or that the air-conditioning will be operated and/or serviceable. The local buses, taxies and minivans used for regular transfers are not adapted for passengers who require a wheelchair. Therefore, and insofar as a vehicle adapted for passengers with wheelchairs is required, the customer must inform Israir when making the reservation, and will be charged for any extra fee which may apply.
Optional tours
Optional tours are sold and performed by local service providers and/or their representatives during the transfer and/or at the hotel, as individually booked by the passenger, and are not included in the price of the package, and therefore require extra payment to the local service provider organizing such tours (or its representatives). Israir has nothing to do with such optional tours and is not responsible whatsoever for such optional tours and/or any matters relating thereto. For the avoidance of doubt, and without derogating form the generality of the above, the passenger agrees that any sport or other activity performed by them and/or others, directly or indirectly, as part of the touristic services ordered by them, will be at their own risk only (even if such activity is offered as part of the purchased services), and any damage or injury as a result of engaging in such activities will not constitute a justification for a cancellation and/or change of reservation.
Car rental
Passengers who wish to rent a car through Israir shall make a reservation, which will be forwarded to the car rental company in Israel or abroad. Israir's role is limited to the proper issuance of rental vouchers, in order to connect between the renter and the rental company in Israir or abroad. Car rental is made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental company from which the car is rented, and the performance of the reservation is the responsibility of the rental company only, and subject to the rental terms. The passenger is responsible for reading the terms and conditions which appear on the car rental voucher. When renting a car abroad, passengers must carefully check which services are included in the package, as there may be cases in which passengers will be subject to charges for various additional services, which are not included in the rental price, and must be paid by the passenger directly to the foreign service provider. Before making a reservation for a car rental, it is the passenger’s responsibility to inform Israir of their age, especially if their age is under 25 years, since in most countries an extra fee is charged for passengers under the age of 25, due to young driver insurance. The passenger (registered in the voucher) must hold an international credit card bearing their name and a valid Israeli and international driving licence with the same details. The renter must indicate their estimated time of arrival at the rental station when making the reservation. The ordered vehicle will be reserved for them up to two hours after the arrival time indicated on the rental voucher. The renter must verify in advance that no restrictions apply to their planned journey route, such as: entering various countries, use of ferries, etc. The rental voucher is valid only at the rental station stated on the rental voucher and on the date and at the time indicated for picking up the vehicle, as determined before departing Israel.
The duration of a rental day (or any part thereof) is 24 hours following the acceptance of the rented vehicle. Any delay in the return of the vehicle, or an extension of the rental period beyond the number of days ordered and paid for in advance, will be subject to additional charges according to the local price list, plus insurance and local obligatory charges. The car must be returned during the hours of operation of the rental station, in order to have the rental contract closed in the presence of the renter. Renters will be charged an extra fee when picking up and/or returning the car outside the hours of operation.
Renter’s age: setting of minimum and maximum ages is customary. These ages vary between countries and should be verified when making the reservation.
Car pick-up: the renter must hold an Israeli and international driving licence valid for one year from the pick-up date, an international credit card and a passport issued on their name. The credit card details will be used as guarantee for the payment, the return of the car in proper condition and at the time indicated on the rental voucher. Deposits in cash will not be accepted.
Rental voucher: the voucher is valid for the person renting the car only (owner of the voucher), according to the details that appear on the voucher (rental company, rental station, date, time, vehicle category, etc.), and were indicated on the voucher prior to the departure from Israel. The renter will bear sole responsibility for any changes made in the details on the voucher. The issued voucher serves as proof of reservation only and does not constitute a part of the rental contract signed between the rental company and the renter. The terms of the contract signed with the rental company abroad will be binding. The rental days that appear on the voucher can not be split into separate rentals. The renter will be solely responsible for any loss of the voucher. Please note that the rental price does not include various payments which must be paid abroad (such as fuel, local taxes, insurance, additional drivers, baby safety seats, etc.).
Car type: the rental company does not undertake to provide a vehicle of a specific model, but from a specific category only. Each category includes several models, which may be changed from time of time by the rental company.
CDW insurance coverage: this insurance covers damages caused (if caused) to the rented vehicle, where the renter pays an initial excess in case of damage.
TP insurance coverage: this insurance covers damages resulting from a theft of the rented vehicle, where the renter pays an initial excess in case of damage. Passengers are advised that the above insurance coverages do not apply to damages to the car’s chassis and tires. In case of an accident or theft or any other event related to the rented vehicle, the renter must act according to the instructions of the rental company.
Changes and cancellations: a new voucher will be issued for every change to a car rental reservation. No refunds will be given for partial use of the voucher. Additional drivers (in addition to the renter) will be registered at extra cost according to the terms and conditions of the rental company and following the presentation of a passport and an Israeli and international driving licence issued on their name only, provided that they are not subject to any age, seniority, or license restrictions. Any commitment and/or verbal promise for refund given by any foreign party will not be binding upon Israir.
Parking services: Israir shall not be liable for any damage and/or loss caused to the vehicle and/or any property contained therein and will not bear any expenses and/or costs resulting from or in connection with the provision of parking services by service providers and/or the use of toll roads.
Disputes: Israir will not accept any lawsuits against rental companies. The venue for any disputes between the renter and the rental company shall be as stated in the rental contract, and if not stated, in the country of destination only. By accepting and using the voucher, the renter agrees to the terms stated in this section above, and in these terms and conditions in general. The venue for all claims against Israir shall be as stated in the “Venue and Jurisdiction” section of these terms and conditions below.
Hotels
Most hotels in Israel and abroad require the age of at least one of the guests in the booking be 21 or above; otherwise, the guests will not be accepted by the hotel and will have to solely bear all the resulting costs. In addition, Israir reserves the right not to refund passengers for the cost of the hotel, and the responsibility for any damages incurred by Israir will lie solely with the passengers. The details of the booked hotel will be deemed as a request only, and Israir will not be obliged thereby before receiving final confirmation from the accommodation service provider. If no such confirmation is received from the requested hotel, the passenger will be offered various alternatives, as may be presented by the accommodation service provider. The passenger will be informed as soon as the hotel confirmation is received. If the guest intends to arrive at hotel after 18:00, they must inform Israir in advance, when making the reservation, or alternatively, directly inform the hotel whose details appear on the voucher received from Israir; if no such notice is given, Israir cannot guarantee that the room booked will be reserved for the guest. If the passenger’s travel arrangements have gone awry, so as to cause a delay on their arrival, it will be their responsibility to inform the hotel directly, and to record the name of the reception clerk to whom such notice regarding late arrival was given. It is hereby made clear that hotel ratings are determined by the local authorities (for example, in the UK), according to applicable criteria in the respective location. Israir will do its best to accommodate the passenger at the hotel originally booked by them; however, there may be changes die to overbooking by the hotel and/or accommodation service provider and/or due to other reasons beyond Israir's control. It is hereby stressed, that the identity of the hotel, as opposed to its promised standard, is not guaranteed by Israir, and “last minute” changes may occur even after the beginning of the passenger’s journey, due to reasons beyond Israir's control. If the booked hotel cannot be provided, Israir and/or the relevant hotel and/or the accommodation service provider reserve the right to arrange an alternative hotel for the passenger, in the same area or another area, provided that the standard of such hotel is similar to that of the original hotel. In case for re-booking in a hotel of a lower standard, the passenger will be refunded for the fare difference, if any, according to Israir's pricing, provided that the accommodation service provider and/or the original hotel refund Israir for the full cost of accommodation at the original hotel. The costs of transfer to the alternative hotel will be borne by the hotel and/or the foreign service provider and/or the passenger only, according to the circumstances. Guests are required to provide credit card details as a guarantee in order to receive the hotel room. The check-in and check-out times vary according to the policy of the respective hotel, with check-in time being usually at 15:00 and check-out until 10:00, in order to allow the hotel staff to arrange the rooms for the next guests - regardless of flight times; therefore, there may be cases when guests will have to wait for their room, according to the above times. Accommodation will be in twin rooms with a double bed or two separate beds, as determined by the respective hotel. Israir cannot guarantee the bed type in advance, even if the passenger has requested a specific type. Single rooms may be smaller than double rooms. Guests requesting a single room must book them in advance for an extra fee before departure. Israir does not undertake to accept or confirm a single room reservation for every guest requesting it. In case of reservations of rooms for 3 guests, an extra bed, or extra beds (sometimes a sofa or a folding bed), may be added to a double room, at the hotel’s sole discretion. It is hereby clarified that Israir cannot guarantee a larger room in such cases. Hotels in the US and Canada usually provide room with 2 beds only, mostly 2 double beds. Families of 3-4 persons requesting one room will be accommodated in a room with two beds, as explained above, of which at least one will be a double bed, and no extra bed will be added to the room. Should it be found that a passenger provided false details regarding the age of a child staying in the room with their parents in order to enjoy a lower price, they will be immediately charged, by the hotel or accommodation service provider or Israir, the full price for such child, according to the hotel’s price list, even if this fact was discovered after the passenger’s return to Israel, and they will not be able to receive any refund. No two rooms are perfectly identical, including their standard and/or size and/or contents. In certain cases, guests may be given rooms which are “not as good” as the rooms given to other guests, and in any case, the room assignment is done by the hotel management and is beyond Israir's control. No specific floor, view, location on the floor, room type, a room with a shower or bath or rooms with a connecting doors can be guaranteed. Certain hotels include various wings, villas, and bungalows in addition to the main building, which constitute an integral part of the hotel, and Israir cannot guarantee that guests will be accommodated in the main building. In many countries, some or all hotels are not air-conditioned. At air-conditioned hotels, Israir cannot guarantee that the air-conditioning will operate perfectly and/or without malfunctions. Air-conditioned hotels may switch off the air-conditioning in certain months and/or at certain times of the day, according to hotel policy and/or in accordance with the energy regulations of the respective country (for example, in Türkiye or Greece). Room assignment, maintenance, integrity and/or operation of systems, services and facilities at the hotel, including lifts, air-conditioners, etc., as well as the availability and/or quality and/or standard of the services and food provided at the hotel, as well as renovation works of any kind that take place at the hotel and/or in guest rooms and/or in their vicinity, noise in the hotel and/or its vicinity generated by heavy traffic, train stations and airports and/or due to construction works on the street or in the vicinity, and any other nuisance at the hotel - all the above are beyond Israir's control and/or influence and are therefore not under its responsibility, but under the responsibility of the hotel. Some of the services offered by the hotel are seasonal and do not operate throughout the year, and in any case, the management of the booked hotel may close facilities and/or suspend services, at its sole discretion, and Israir will have no responsibility for such situations. It shall be stressed, that the hotel management is under no obligation to report on making such a decision, and no retroactive claims will be accepted due to any inability to use any facility and/or service, and Israir will not accept and will not be responsible for any complaints regarding non-operation of any of the hotel’s services. Israir will not be obliged by special requirements regarding hotel rooms, including the issues detailed above, unless such requirements have been explicitly approved to the passenger by Israir in writing in advance. Baby cradles will be provided by the hotel, subject to availability. Some hotels charge a separate additional fee for cradles. Israir shall not be responsible, under any circumstances, for the content of publications on websites of hotels and/or other travel agencies and/or other tourism companies. Most hotels (including all-inclusive hotels) directly charge a separate additional fee for special services and the use of facilities and/or services, such as saunas, massages, fitness centers, tennis courts, aquatic sports, films, internet, mini-bar, imported alcoholic beverages, natural juices, safes, parking, parasols, swimming pool towels, etc. Therefore, guests are advised to inquire, before using facilities and/or services which are not explicitly included in the booking, whether their use requires additional payment, as Israir will not be responsible for any payment demands for the use of such services, and the guests will be charged for them. At all-inclusive hotels, food and beverages are served until 23:00. Consumption after this time requires payment. The hotel may change its all-inclusive policy and offer certain services for an extra fee without prior notice. Hotels abroad charge a city tax from guests (which may vary between countries and range from 1 to 4 euros), and Israir has no connection therewith. Without derogating from Israir's right to deny passengers’ demands, it should be noted, that if any need for cancellation or change in connection with the reservation arises during the passenger’s stay abroad, the passenger must contact Israir, according to the requirements of the foreign hotel accommodation providers. Any change or cancellation which is not made in accordance with the above provisions, but rather directly by the passenger vis-a-vis the hotel, may not be recognized as a cancellation of reservation justifying a refund, and the passenger will be charged for any expenses incurred by Israir due to services that were not properly cancelled or changed, as well as a handling fee. Reservations at hotels in Israel are permitted from the age of 21 or according to the policy of the respective hotel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult (aged 21 or above). If guests encounters a problem during their stay at the hotel, they should contact the hotel management and/or the travel agency and/or Israir in real time, as no complaints will be accepted following their return to Israel, if they failed to do so.
When booking an accessible room for guests with disabilities, a valid certificate of disability bearing the guest’s name must be presented at check-in.
It is hereby clarified, that hotel accommodation is intended for guests over 18 years of age, or people who are staying together with guests who are 18 years or older.
